Born in Savannah, Andrew County, Mo., June 26, 1927. Son of Frederic Hine Maughmer and Ruth (Hine) Maughmer. Republican. Served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict; lawyer; member of Missouri state house of representatives from Andrew County, 1965-66. Episcopalian.
