(Rambo) Raker. Democrat. Lawyer; candidate for California state senate, 1898; superior court judge in California, 1905-10; delegate to Democratic National Convention from California, 1908, 1916 (member, Platform and Resolutions Committee); California Democratic state chair, 1908-10; U.S. Representative from California, 1911-26 (1st District 1911-13, 2nd District 1913-26); died in office 1926. Member, Odd Fellows; Freemasons. Died in Washington, D.C., January 22, 1926 (age 62 years, 334 days). Interment at Susanville Cemetery.
