Son of John Adams and Eliza (Blanchard) Adams. Member of Colorado state house of representatives, 1887-89; member of Colorado state senate, 1889-1927; Governor of Colorado, 1927-33. Congregationalist. Died, of a heart ailment, February 4, 1954 (age 92 years, 354 days). Interment at Alamosa Cemetery.

Eugene Engley (1852-1910) — of Colorado. Born in Massachusetts, 1852. Lawyer; Colorado state attorney general, 1893-94. Died, of pneumonia, in Alamosa, Alamosa County, Colo., April 18, 1910 (age about 57 years). Interment at Alamosa Cemetery.

Relatives: Married, May 7, 1881, to Hinda Jane Gaines.
