School teacher; served in the U.S. Army during World War II; automobile dealer; farmer; member of Georgia state senate 23rd District, 1953-54; member of Georgia state house of representatives from Taylor County, 1955-56. Presumed deceased. Burial location unknown.   Relatives: Married, May 28, 1931, to Cathryn Jarrell.
	Hugh Marion Gillis (b. 1918) — also known as Hugh Gillis — of Soperton, Treutlen County, Ga. Born in Soperton, Treutlen County, Ga., September 6, 1918. Son of Jim L. Gillis, Sr. (born 1892) and Annie Lois (Walker) Gillis. Democrat. Farmer; automobile dealer; farm implement dealer; member of Georgia state house of representatives from Treutlen County, 1941-44, 1949-56; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Georgia, 1944, 1948 (alternate); member of Georgia state senate, 1962-2004. Baptist. Still living as of 2004.
	James Brailey Odham (1919-1996) — also known as Brailey Odham — of Sanford, Seminole County, Fla. Born in Georgia, September 6, 1919. Democrat. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; automobile dealer; oil distributor; member of Florida state house of representatives, 1947-50; candidate in primary for Governor of Florida, 1952, 1954; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Florida, 1956 (alternate), 1960; candidate in primary for U.S. Senator from Florida, 1964; builder; real estate broker. Died June 22, 1996 (age 76 years, 290 days). Interment at Palm Cemetery, Winter Park, Fla.   Relatives: Married to Annie Louise Tyer (1925-2004).   See also Find-A-Grave memorial
