	Bill S. Huffman (b. 1924) — of Madison Heights, Oakland County, Mich. Born in Estelle, Walker County, Ga., December 27, 1924. Democrat. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; sales representative; mayor of Madison Heights, Mich., 1961-63; member of Michigan state house of representatives, 1963-74 (Oakland County 6th District 1963-64, 66th District 1965-74); defeated in primary, 1956; member of Michigan state senate 16th District, 1975-82; resigned 1982; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Michigan, 1980. Protestant. Member, Kiwanis. Still living as of 1982.
	George Nicholson Langford, Jr. (1817-1896) — of Mississippi. Born in Georgia, October 4, 1817. Probate judge in Mississippi, 1866; member of Mississippi state house of representatives, 1870-71. Protestant. Died in Brandon, Rankin County, Miss., July 28, 1896 (age 78 years, 298 days). Interment at Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, Miss.   Relatives: Brother-in-law of Joseph Bennett.
	Blanche Martin (b. 1937) — of East Lansing, Ingham County, Mich. Born in Georgia, January 16, 1937. Democrat. Dentist; member of Michigan State University board of trustees, 1969-84. Protestant. African ancestry. Member, Kiwanis; American Dental Association. Still living as of 1984.
	Bobby Lee Rush (b. 1946) — also known as Bobby L. Rush — of Chicago, Cook County, Ill. Born in Albany, Dougherty County, Ga., November 23, 1946. Democrat. Candidate for Illinois state house of representatives, 1978; U.S. Representative from Illinois 1st District, 1993-; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Illinois, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008; candidate for mayor of Chicago, Ill., 1999. Protestant. African ancestry. As a Black Panther, spent six months in prison on a weapons charge. 	The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.
	The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
