  James Edwin Cochran (1848-1919) — also known as James E. Cochran — of McCook, Red Willow County, Neb.; St. Anthony, Fremont County, Idaho; Port Angeles, Clallam County, Wash. Born near Hillsboro, Lee County, Iowa, May 15, 1848. Son of Hugh F. Cochran and Lucy (Hammond) Cochran. Farmer; school teacher; superintendent of schools; lawyer; district judge in Nebraska, 1887-92; appointed 1887; Fremont County Prosecuting Attorney. Died in Port Angeles, Clallam County, Wash., November 17, 1919 (age 71 years, 186 days). Interment at Ocean View Cemetery, Port Angeles, Wash.

  Frank Robert Gooding (1859-1928) — also known as Frank R. Gooding — of Gooding, Gooding County, Idaho. Born in Tiverton, Devon, England, September 16, 1859. Republican. Mining contractor; farmer; member of Idaho state senate, 1900; Governor of Idaho, 1905-09; U.S. Senator from Idaho, 1921-28; defeated, 1918; died in office 1928; delegate to Republican National Convention from Idaho, 1924, 1928. Methodist. Died in Gooding, Gooding County, Idaho, June 24, 1928 (age 68 years, 282 days). Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Gooding, Idaho.

Farmer; cattleman; movie theater owner; member of Idaho state senate, 1945-50; candidate for U.S. Representative from Idaho, 1950; member of Democratic National Committee from Idaho, 1952-63. The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 234,420 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.
