      Stephen Augustus Hurlbut (1815-1882) — also known as Stephen A. Hurlbut — of Illinois. Born in Charleston, Charleston County, S.C., November 29, 1815. Republican. Delegate to Illinois state constitutional convention McHenry and Boone counties, 1847; member of Illinois state house of representatives, 1859; general in the Union Army during the Civil War; Presidential Elector for Illinois, 1868; U.S. Minister to Colombia, 1869-72; Peru, 1881-82, died in office 1882; U.S. Representative from Illinois 4th District, 1873-77. Died in Lima, Peru, March 27, 1882 (age 66 years, 118 days). Interment at Belvidere Cemetery.

      Charles Eugene Fuller (1849-1926) — also known as Charles E. Fuller — of Belvidere, Boone County, Ill. Born near Belvidere, Boone County, Ill., March 31, 1849. Son of Seymour Fuller and Eliza (Mordoff) Fuller. Republican. Lawyer; banker; Boone County State's Attorney, 1876-78; member of Illinois state senate, 1878-82, 1888-93; member of Illinois state house of representatives, 1882-88; delegate to Republican National Convention from Illinois, 1884, 1896 (alternate); circuit judge in Illinois 17th Circuit, 1897-1903; U.S. Representative from Illinois 12th District, 1903-13, 1915-26; died in office 1926. Died, in a hospital at Rochester, Olmsted County, Minn., June 25, 1926 (age 77 years, 86 days). Interment at Belvidere Cemetery.

      Richard Sheppard Molony (1811-1891) — of Illinois. Born in Northfield, Merrimack County, N.H., June 28, 1811. Democrat. U.S. Representative from Illinois 4th District, 1851-53.     The Political Graveyard

    The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 234,420 politicians, living and dead.
     
      The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.  
      The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
