	Alanson William Edwards (1840-1908) — also known as Alanson W. Edwards — of Bunker Hill, Macoupin County, Ill.; Fargo, Cass County, N.Dak. Born in Lorain County, Ohio, August 27, 1840. Express agent; telegraph operator; major in the Union Army during the Civil War; warden, Illinois Penitentiary at Joliet, 1871-72; newspaper publisher; mayor of Fargo, N.Dak., 1887-88; member of North Dakota state house of representatives, 1895-96; U.S. Consul General in Montreal, 1903-06. Member, Grand Army of the Republic. Died February 14, 1908 (age 67 years, 171 days). Burial location unknown.   Relatives: Married 1870 to Elizabeth Robertson.
	William A. McKellip (1835-1904) — of Westminster, Carroll County, Md. Born in Carroll County, Md., December 25, 1835. Republican. Colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War; candidate for Maryland state comptroller, 1869; U.S. Consul in Magdeburg, 1902-04, died in office 1904. Member, Grand Army of the Republic. Died in 1904 (age about 68 years). Burial location unknown.
	William Edward McLean (1832-1906) — of Indiana. Born in Calvert County, Md., October 12, 1832. Member of Indiana state senate, 1857-60, 1893-96; member of Indiana state house of representatives, 1861, 1867-68; colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War; candidate for U.S. Representative from Indiana, 1876. Member, Grand Army of the Republic; Odd Fellows; Loyal Legion. Died in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Ind., November 6, 1906 (age 74 years, 25 days). Interment at Highland Lawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, Ind.   Relatives: Nephew of Grafton Fleener Cookerly; step-son-in-law of James Hughes. See McLean-Hughes-Cookerly family of Indiana.
