Lutheran. Died in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Mich., August 21, 1995 (age 77 years, 259 days). Interment at Northlawn Cemetery, Sebewaing, Mich.

  Walter F. Bagley (1892-1952) — of Wilson, Menominee County, Mich. Born in Wilson, Menominee County, Mich., November 4, 1892. Son of Hugh Bagley and Rebecca (Moyles) Bagley. Republican. Road construction foreman; farmer; horse and cattle dealer; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Menominee County, 1943-44; defeated in primary, 1944, 1946, 1948. Episcopalian. Member, Freemasons. Died in 1952 (age about 59 years). Burial location unknown.
  George E. Dewey (b. 1854) — of Shelby, Oceana County, Mich. Born in Pennline, Crawford County, Pa., July 31, 1854. Republican. Lumber business; implement dealer; Oceana County Register of Deeds; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Oceana County, 1905-08. Burial location unknown.
  Charles Evans (b. 1859) — of Tipton, Lenawee County, Mich. Born in Forden, Montgomeryshire, Wales, August 14, 1859. Republican. Livestock shipping business; banker; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Lenawee County 1st District, 1917-26; defeated, 1914. English and Welsh ancestry. Burial location unknown.
  William S. Ewing (b. 1869) — of Marquette, Marquette County, Mich. Born in Marquette, Marquette County, Mich., July 13, 1869. Republican. Farmer; implement dealer; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Marquette County 1st District, 1911-12, 1915-22. Irish and Scottish ancestry.   Dexter Mason Ferry, Jr. (1873-1959) — also known as Dexter M. Ferry, Jr. — of Detroit, Wayne County, Mich.; Grosse Pointe, Wayne County, Mich. Born in Detroit, Wayne County, Mich., November 22, 1873. Son of Addie E. (Miller) Ferry and Dexter Mason Ferry. Republican. President, Ferry-Morse Seed Co.; president, Standard Accident Insurance Co.; director, Michigan Fire & Marine Insurance Co.; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Wayne County 1st District, 1901-04; member of Michigan state board of education, 1906-13; appointed 1906; mayor of Grosse Pointe, Mich., 1938-39. Congregationalist. Member, Delta Kappa Epsilon. Died in 1959 (age about 85 years). Interment at Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit, Mich.

The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 234,420 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.  
  The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
