Lawyer; member of Oregon state house of representatives, 1961-62; member of Oregon state senate, 1963-67; Oregon Democratic state chair, 1966-67; candidate for U.S. Representative from Oregon 4th District, 1968. Methodist. Member, Order of the Coif; Phi Alpha Delta; American Academy of Political and Social Science; American Bar Association; American Judicature Society; Elks; Moose; American Civil Liberties Union. Still living as of 1968.   Relatives: Married, June 11, 1953, to Nancie Newell Peacocke.
	Harold Joseph Patrick Gibbons (1910-1982) — also known as Harold J. Gibbons — of Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Mo. Born in Archibald Patch, Lackawanna County, Pa., April 10, 1910. Democrat. Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Missouri, 1952, 1956. Irish ancestry. Member, Teamsters Union; NAACP; American Civil Liberties Union. The site of the original Sportsman's Park baseball stadium in St. Louis, now a neighborhood playground, was named "Harold J. Gibbons Field" for him. Died, from complications of a ruptured aortic aneurysm, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Calif., November, 1982 (age 72 years, 0 days). Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
	Alice Sachs (1905-1997) — of Manhattan, New York County, N.Y. Born in Kansas City, Jackson County, Mo., December 18, 1905. Democrat. Candidate for New York state assembly from New York County 9th District, 1956, 1958, 1960; candidate for New York state senate 20th District, 1962; delegate to Democratic National Convention from New York, 1964, 1980, 1984; Presidential Elector for New York, 1976. Female. Jewish. Member, Americans for Democratic Action; League of Women Voters; B'nai B'rith; Urban League; Phi Beta Kappa; American Civil Liberties Union; NAACP. Died at the Hallmark Nursing Centre in North Granville, Washington County, N.Y., March 29, 1997 (age 91 years, 101 days). Burial location unknown.
