Born in Northumberland, Northumberland County, Pa., November 15, 1820. Merchant; farmer; steamboat business; mayor of Fargo, N.Dak., 1875-76, 1877-80. Member, Freemasons. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., August 22, 1908 (age 87 years, 281 days). Burial location unknown.   Relatives: Married 1871 to Sarah Savery.
	Solomon Hirsch (1839-1902) — Born in 1839. Republican. Merchant; U.S. Minister to Turkey, 1889-92; Oregon Republican state chair, 1896. Jewish. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., December 15, 1902 (age about 63 years). Interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Portland, Ore.
	Moy Back Hin (1848-1935) — also known as Charley Twin Wo — of Portland, Multnomah County, Ore. Born in China, February 8, 1848. Merchant; importer and exporter; Honorary Consul for China in Portland, Ore., 1906-35. Chinese ancestry. One of the first Asian millionaires in the United States. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., December 15, 1935 (age 87 years, 310 days). Burial location unknown.
	Edward E. Muecke (b. 1869) — of Aurora, Marion County, Ore. Born in San Francisco, Calif., December 11, 1869. Merchant; postmaster; U.S. Vice Consul in Iquique, 1900-09; U.S. Vice & Deputy Consul in Iquique, 1909-14. Burial location unknown.

	The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.
	The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
