  Roy Armstrong (1900-1987) — of Flandreau, Moody County, S.Dak. Born in Moville, Woodbury County, Iowa, December 12, 1900. Son of Edward Marion Armstrong (1861-1939) and Josephine (Buckholtz) Armstrong (1869-1920). Republican. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; member of South Dakota state house of representatives 17th District, 1953-60; secretary, Farmer's Mutual Fire & Lightning Insurance Company. Died in Moody County, S.Dak., May 7, 1987 (age 86 years, 146 days). Interment at Union Cemetery, Flandreau, S.Dak.

  Olaf K. Fjetland (1893-1969) — also known as O. K. Fjetland — of Lemmon, Perkins County, S.Dak.; Iron River, Iron County, Mich.; Gladstone, Delta County, Mich. Born in Ellsworth, Hamilton County, Iowa, March 26, 1893. Son of Ingeborg (Skeie) Fjetland (1850-1936) and Knut Fjetland (1852-1950). Democrat.
