  Stephen Hailstone (1865-1934) — of Logan, Cache County, Utah. Born in Utah, February 25, 1865. Son of William Hailstone and Ann (Davis) Hailstone. Democrat. Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Utah, 1916 (member, Committee on Permanent Organization). English ancestry. Died October 8, 1934 (age 69 years, 225 days). Interment at Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Utah.
  Relatives: Married, February 17, 1893, to Jane Marie Lufkin (1865-1952).
  Lenore Romney (1908-1998) — also known as Lenore Emily LaFount — of Bloomfield Hills, Oakland County, Mich. Born in Logan, Cache County, Utah, November 9, 1908. Daughter of Harold Arundel LaFount (1880-1952) and Alma Luella (Robison) LaFount (1882-1938). Republican. Candidate for U.S. Senator from Michigan, 1970. Female. English and French Huguenot ancestry. Died July 7, 1998 (age 89 years, 240 days). Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Brighton, Mich.
  Relatives: Daughter of Harold Arundel LaFount (1880-1952) and Alma Luella (Robison) LaFount (1882-1938); married, July 2, 1931, to George Wilcken Romney; mother of G. Scott Romney (who married Ronna Romney) and Willard Mitt Romney. See Romney family of Utah.

The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 234,420 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.  
  The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
