Zachariah Joshua Loussac (1883-1965) — also known as Z. J. Loussac — of Anchorage, Alaska; Seattle, King County, Wash. Born in Pokrov, Russia, July 13, 1883. Democrat. Druggist; philanthropist; mayor of Anchorage, Alaska, 1948-51; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Alaska Territory, 1952. Jewish ancestry. Member, Rotary. The Z. J. Loussac Public Library in Anchorage is named for him. Died in Seattle, King County, Wash., March 15, 1965 (age 81 years, 245 days).
